argo0 (6145), Washington DC, USA Apr 25, 2007 (12oz bottle) Small white head atop crystal clear straw body. Aroma is sweet, apple/perfumey, some berry, light honey. Taste is sweet apple, some berry, light honey. Light-medium body, lightly sticky. Artificiality reigns. BückDich (4525), Boise, Idaho, USA Jan 28, 2004 Palest color I've ever seen, it's like clear egg shell white almost. The head is fizzy and brief, but keeps a little around until the end, even a little lacing. The aroma is bright with fresh green apples from harvest, crisp is the word that comes to mind. Lightly vinous and musky through the nose as well. The flavor is sulfuric and lightly sweet, sadly artificially so. A touch of vanilla even, or maybe it's vanilla scented chapstick I'm tasting, either way, it's from the cider. Finishes again with too much sulfer and a touch of musty apple crisp. This wouldn't be too bad if they'd used a fresher product and let the surfer age out first. muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Aug 17, 2004 12 oz bottle. Extremely light yellow with a greenish tinge, light-appearing carbonation. Nose of cheap, commercial pasteurized apple juice, like Motts; I have a fond memory of such from childhood, but its not what I’d want here. Extremely, almost excruciatingly sweet at first, with unfortunate late metallic edge. Almost undrinkably sugary. Cornfield (4255), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Sep 3, 2005 I’ll never be a "Cider Guy," but this is what I imagine they should be like. It’s pale yellow with a filmy white head and a small bubbled carbonation. The aroma is of tart, fresh apples, skins, seeds, stems and all. The flavor reflects the nose, delivering an extra kick of tartness in the crisp finish. Refreshing.
