COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional Bavarian Spring Blonde Bock Beer in every sense. A smooth malty tasting strong lager with a mouth-coating body, a touch of bitterness for balance, and an aromatically malty aroma.

Pours a clear golden amber with a large off-white head with no visibile effervesence. Vey little aroma. Fairly creamy mouthfeel, the taste is of carmalized malts. Quite sweet with no evidence of hops. Decent session beer but not top tier. Pairs well with humus on rye crisp crackers.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan, lively carbonation, big, creamy white head. The aroma is off, some garbage smells, quite bad. Buttery and cheap tasting, this is pretty crappy. Tastes and smells like a sketchy beer from Russia. I guess they just use the cheapest techniques and ingredients. Fruity, malt liquor tones. Bad.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear lighter orange with a tall cap of dense beige head. The aroma picked up bready and honey sweetness with accents of earth and dirty floral notes.. quite solid for the style. The flavor found honey, bready, and a touch of molasses sweetness at the core, with some fairly raw alcohol and earthy bitterness around.. still decent, but not as good as the nose. Light-medium bodied and fairly syrupy on the palate.. OK balance, but it got grainier as the drink progressed.. all in all much better than expected.

picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Breeze Thru Wine & Spirits in Elm Grove, WI. Pours a clear golden copper colored brew with a thick and creamy off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a hint of honey, vanilla and some floral hops. Taste is medium bodied, a touch sweeter than most other Maibocks with flavors of caramel, floral hops and some German stollen. Finish is sweet, with a mild floral hop aftertaste that slowly disappears. One of GH’s better seasonals.
