COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Horny Goat Wheat is a Belgian-Style white beer, craft brewed with wheat, malted barley, hops and a bit of orange peel and coriander. It’s natural haze from yeast and wheat make it a classic to be enjoyed on its own, or with a slice of orange. Horny Goat Wheat loves big cans... those little 12 ounce bottles aren’t enough beer, and cans fully protect the beer from light and oxygen, producing a new level of fresh that you won’t find out of a bottle. Cans are also easier to recycle and better for the environment... as an ecologist if you don’t believe the brainiacs at Horny Goat.

This is very mediocre, even for a Belgian wheat. Not a whole lot of body to this.

A true Wheat Beer. Great scent, sharp flavor, and a very filling, satisfying drink.

Water + American Wheat Beer = really really bad combo. They seem to have mixed the two.

12 oz. bottle. $1.50 loose @ Woodman’s. So where’s this can they keep talking about? Well, poured a deep yellow with red tinges before the yeast at the bottom slipped in. Head dissipates quickly. Slightly tart and lemony smell. Taste kind of just sits there. It’s not bad, but why put your own name on this "product?"

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a light golden color with no head, aroma is of diry socks and is a mixture of fruit, taste is slightly of orange and cloves with something off, overall the mouthfeel is very watery and thin, not very enjoyable.

Hazy orange. Aroma is a bit rank - water and soggy hops. Taste starts a bit acidic and tangy, then mellows. Last second sweetness before the overwhelming blandness kicks in. Light in body and character.

Pours a cloudy orange color with foamy white head; lots of floating sediment. Aromatic fruity/spicy aroma typical of a belgian wheat. Taste is corriander, orange, clove and some bitter-floral hops. As far as belgian wheats go, this is pretty average...nothing special but not bad. Drinkable, decent taste, a little thin.

I rated this one a while ago when it was being contract brewed at LaCrosse - not sure why the rating was deleted but I found my notes. Sampled from a 24 oz can this beer poured a very cloudy orange color with a huge yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet, peppery and musty with a fairly strong citrus element. The flavor was sweet and tangy citrus with light undertones of cardboard, pepper and must. The finish was dryish musty citrus. Fairly good body. Solid.

gold pour, thin head that fades fast. Aroma is corriander spice and banana, some citrus and musty wheat malt; light lingering bubblegum tones as well. Flavour was a bit of a letdown after that. Some banana and musty wheat and corn, some light spice.

Had this can for a while; over a year I think. I suspect it’s a lager, but could be wrong. I was kind of apprehensive about drinking it, but it’s really not that bad. Poured with a nice, foamy, frothy white head that mostly settled down to a thin layer with a little lace. Color is a clear shiny brass with a little bit of particles settling out. Aroma was a pleasant spicy Belgian wit. Flavor was a little less impressive with kind of a sweet soda pop cast. Body and carbonation are ok. Finish is like flavor and so not too great.
