This isnít necessarily a bad porter, though it doesnít particularly taste like a brownie. Has a surprising amount of vanilla in the flavor, then just tastes like a slightly sweeter than usual porter.

Bottle. Pours dark brown off white head. Nose and taste of brown sugar, cinnamon, toasted chocolate, vanilla extract and old fudge. Watery light body. More of a brown ale than a porter.

Not much of an aroma on this one. I get a hint of cinnamon. Ephemeral head. Fizzy light palate. Taste is cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla. Notes of wood and black tea. Did you expect a brewery called "Horny Goat" to make a serious beer? No. But they do make fun beers. Obviously they donít take themselves too seriously.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate malt with a touch of cinnamon. Flavor is creamy chocolate from the cacao nibs. Finish leaves a ok chocolate on the tongue as this goes down. This is a ok beer with enough chocolate showing up to give this a good rating.

Very Dark Brown, Almost Black Color, Small Weak Head Did Not Last Long, Spotty Lacing. Almost No Aroma At First, Then As It Warms Up Faint Cacao Vanilla Comes Out. Toasted, Cacao Vanilla, Sweet With Slightly Unpleasant Bitter Finish. Thin and Watery, Therefor Reminds Me More Of A Dark Lager with Flavors. Waaaay Over Carbonated, Hard To Drink Until Fizz Goes Away... Good Intentions, Poor Execution... Pass It...

Chattanooga, Tn - Riverside Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium copper - looks like iced teas - with a light off white head. Aroma has some nutmeg and cinnamon notes, a hint of wort. Flavor is more akin to a brown ale than a porter. Light hints of molasses, some raisins, just a hint of chocolate and a back end of cinnamon and nutmeg. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Not sure where this one is heading.

Aroma is dark roasted malts and a hint of chocolate while the appearance is rather pale for a porter. The flavor is chocolate, odd funkiness, dark bread and a tart finish. Didnít care for this one.

Comes out of the tap a clear chestnut, not exactly what I expect from a porter, but the pale tan wheat head is thick and foamy and rather persistent. Malty, smoky aroma has an overtone of cinnamon and hints of bread and caramel. Malty, bready flavor has that cinnamon note plus woody hop and caramel notes. Doesnít taste like a porter, tastes more like liquid cinnamon toast - but who cares, itís tasty and enjoyable. Texture has average viscosity and fizz, and leaves a nice cinnamon toast finish.

12oz bottle, I was surprised by the pour, not as dark as a porter. Aroma of cocca malts, smooth tasting beer. Not a big bite like some porter may have, but very enjoyable.
