Clear brown body with a thick, clinging tan head. Decent yet light aroma of spice and malt. Borderline thin palate, but the beer is smooth. The flavor starts overall sweet with just a touch of spice (cinnamon?). It’s malty and smooth. The finish is fairly smooth. There is a bit of a cloying aftertaste, like a little too much cinnamon. Not a bad beer.

Dark dark clear brown with a fast fading light khaki head. Nice chocolaty and earthy nose but a bit faint and one-dimentional. Medium palate with some cocoa, light cola notes, a little earthy bitterness (just enough to balance), and a light biscuity body. Drinkable, but ’meh’.

Horny Goat Brownie has a medium, cream-colored head, a dark, ruby-brown appearance, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of dark, rich, bread crust, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla, and chocolate. Taste is of those elements, with some pleasant yeast sourness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Horny Goat Brownie finishes on the sweet and wet side, with high drinkability. RJT

Pours rich brown with a dense tan head. The aroma has brown sugar, some toasty nutty malt, hints of vanilla, toffee and caramel. It has a medium sharp body with a light amount of carbonation. The flavor has lots of brown sugar, caramel, smooth roast, walnuts and minor spice. The finish has a root beer type of spicy taste. As it warms up the flavors all become more offputting and artificial tasting. Not for me.

Can poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a darker brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma is grainy and sweet. Some vanilla influence comes through. The taste is all sweet with a metallic note coming through. As it warms, the metal taste comes through more strongly. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a very thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet chocolate. Flavor is sweet chocolate and vanilla. Fairly sweet also. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz tallboy from Xroads. Poured a light brown with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma of cocoa puffs, dry brown toast, dusty grains, newspaper. Flavor is milk, dusty chocolate malts, brown toast, nut shell. Body is fizzy carbonation that really fills your mouth and a milky mouthfeel. Drinkable but entry level stuff here.

16oz can from Crossroads. Pours a dark brown/almost black color. Aroma of roasted malt, hints of bad chocolate, wet dog, cardboard, and a hint of cinnamon. Taste is slightly metallic, with notes of roasted malt, sour day old coffee, bad chocolate, cola syrup, and hints of fudge and cinnamon in the aftertaste.

Can.
Glass: Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Opaque brown through the center with clear vibrant mahogany hues on the edges. The head is tall, tan and creamy.
Aroma: A little bit of cinnamon, chocolate and vanilla. Rather mild and muddled.
Taste: Light roasted barley, hints of cinnamon, hints of cocoa and big vanilla by the finish. A but muddy and artificial, but not bad.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.
Overall: Not an awful beer, but it’s not cohesive. I would drink this if handed to me, but I doubt I’d buy again.

16oz can @ trailer. Brown color with lasting tan head. Brown sugar, caramel, chocolate, nutty aromas. Light to medium bodied. Big caramel, vanilla, chocolate, brown sugar, nutty flavors____light to medium sweetness----a bit thin---decent enough.
