UPDATED: AUG 21, 2011 Aroma has little more to it other than a piny smell. Taste leaves much to be desired.

Gift from a friend for dog sitting. Clear orange with creamy white head. Looks kinda nice. Took a sniff from the bottle, and all I got was skunk. Weird. In the tumbler I get sweet sugary herbaciousness. Not a lot going on here. Sweet, herbacious, over-carbonated. Slight citrus flavor, slight bitterness, taste of fermenting (rotting) apples. Bland. Nothing is perfectly balanced against nothing else. Bad.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, citrus and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of biscuit, light earthiness and light citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

Smells promising at first. Has some bitterness but it isnít a fresh hop flavor. Serving: The body and flavor behind are a bit thin. Bottle

Honey colored slightly cloudy ftom the bottle with a faint scent of hops, acidic and hints of iron, could be the carbonation but not much head or lacing.

Got this as a gift, figured it would be hoppy. Pours golden, west coast looking, nothing special. No smell. Hardly any taste, very malty and watery with a kiss of hop bitterness, not nearly as much as you would assume from the name. Avoid this. Just a brewery with a "clever" marketing technique only geared towards college kids. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-11-2009 02:40:37

12 oz. bottle, $1.50 loose at Woodmanís. Gave this a good pour to make it kick out some hops, and got a standard orange pale ale color, with a few what I hope are hop particles floating around. Foam is properly rocky at first, but settles to the standard fizzy head with no lace. Hop smell is not very strong, but some sweet malt nose is noted. Major component in taste is the malt: sweetness is up a bit with caramel notes. But hops are simply barely there. Sipping bring some alcohol to the nose, but thereís also a bit of a watery mouthfeel. While Iíve found this brand is barely standard, Iíd have hoped theyíd try to step up their game with a hoppy style that would draw in beer geeks. But itís not to be.

Out of their variety pack, this is sadly one of their best iíve tried(from the variety pack). Better than Budweiser, but a dissapointing WI craft brew.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-caramel color with a small beige head that faded quickly. The aroma was faint vague fruity hops with notes of citrus and butterscotch underneath. The flavor was dryish and bitter with moderate grapefruit and lemon and a tangy malt undertone. The finish was medium length bitter, fruity and a bit harsh. Medium body. Ok.
