Bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, citrus and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of biscuit, light earthiness and light citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

Bottle @ Gregís house picked up in the Midwest. Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Orange cream, bland, herbal, light veggie aroma. Somewhat chewy bready malty, bitter, bland orange citrusy flavor. Scroll past.

Pale amber pour with a thick white head. The nose is a bit sweet and lightly malty with a bit of spicy hoppiness. A touch of light lemon peel and some orange as well. Herbal/woody spiciness behind the fairly spiciness maltiness. The beer is fresh enough but itís just as boring as hell. Itís not really bad, itís just bland.

Bottle on Amtrak Train 27 - The Empire Builder ( from Binnyís South Loop) - 04/11/12. Hazy orange/amber with a thin bubbly white head that soon forms a pond and moves to the edges. Nose of caramel malt, hops, a hint of pine, citrus note. Taste follows, a little orange and a touch of bitter grapefruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Pretty boring.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear bright orange with a short, swirly dusting of white head. The aroma picked up dry, dusty bitterness in the form of citrus and pine over grains and caramel.. smelled like it was going to be sharp and warm. The flavor confirmed that it was a bit more aggressive in terms of warmth and phelol-type notes than it shouldíve been.. warm around the edges and through the finish with pine and grapefruit over semi-sweet caramel maltage.. peppery spices joined at the finish.. not a great flow or character here. Light-medium bodied with scratchy carbonation on the palate.. tacky and sharp in several places.. never really came together.

Got this as a gift, figured it would be hoppy. Pours golden, west coast looking, nothing special. No smell. Hardly any taste, very malty and watery with a kiss of hop bitterness, not nearly as much as you would assume from the name. Avoid this. Just a brewery with a "clever" marketing technique only geared towards college kids. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-11-2009 02:40:37

Pours orange with white head, aroma is some floral and grassy hops. Taste up front is grass, pine, and floral hops with a slight bready malt base with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad, but nothing too good about it.

5/15/10. 12oz bottle. The aroma is malty caramel and the flavor is malt, honey, and biscuits with some hop bitterness but not hop flavor or much else going on.

Bottle. Clear light orange pour with a small soapy white head. Nose is earthy/grassy hops with a bit of funk. Medium palate. Taste isnít too bad - floral/earthy hops. Certainly drinkable.
