Bottle. Thin dark brown pour - confusing. Nose of roasted malt and a little lactose. Thin palate for the style. Taste is more malt and nut than a milk stout. Not bad, just seems to be misclassified a bit.

12oz bottle. Rating #32. Dark brownish/red pour with a light tan head. Light chocolate aroma, kind of like ovaltine crystals, but watered down a bit. Very mild flavor, plain and not much to distinguish any flavors from. Drinkable, but that’s it. (2302)

This beer is as fine a milk stout as I have ever had. It has a nice aroma and a smooth mouth feel. I even dig the label. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a dark beer that is not too heavy.

I really liked their Octoberfest so overlooked the silly marketing to give this a try, disappointed! It’s bland and watery.

Poured a brown color, draft at the house 1k. Mild flavors. Pretty smooth. Caramel malts and slight hops

12 ounce bottle that pours a dark brown with some red highlights. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and a touch of caramel. Has a touch of bitter flavor, but for the most part the aroma is true to the flavor, thought there would be a sweet a finish, but there wasn’t.

I was pretty amped when I saw this one at a grocery store in Wisconsin. It poured dark with a tan head. Chocolaty, malty aroma. The taste was pretty bland for a stout. I would have to say, I was disappointed with this.

Pours a translucent brown with little to no head. Aromais very light but reveals a bit of nuttiness and coffee. Flavor, too, is very light. A bit too watery on the palate and overall leaves a bit to be desired.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 8/20
Pailhead (3449) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JUN 15, 2011
Bottle: The aroma is rather fruity along with some raisin and just a touch of chocolate. It pours a transparent (when held to the light) mahogany with a two finger beige head that fades to a thin film within a minute or so. The flavor starts fruity with some raisin, caramel, and a hint of grain. The finish has some faint chocolate. Light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a thin mouthfeel. Overall, too light and too thin for a stout.
