RCL (855), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Mar 30, 2008 This is the Budweiser of witbiers. Not awful, but really thin in flavor and lacking any real character.
iowaherkeye (1306), Back in Iowa City!, Iowa, USA May 7, 2008 I know City Brewery when I see it, and this is no exception. 16oz can, no date. Hazy amber golden with a small off-white sorta creamy and quickly fading to a tattered film. Artificial orange and powdered sugar dominate what little aroma is there, and there is some corn and old wheat in the background. Only hints of orange present in the flavor, and plenty of flavorlessness. There’s also a bit of stale wheat, and almost paper oxidation (very very faint). Dirty (not earthy) bitter finish that peaks at a 2. Burps orange candy (without the sweetness). Light to moderate carbonation with a medium body. Officially the flavor got a 3.5,so I rounded up. Yes, this pretty well sucks. Traders beware! I’ve got a nice bonus for you! Suttree (2192), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Apr 28, 2008 From a can, Raleigh WBF. I’m reading my review, and i notice it just stops right in the middle. I was sober when I drank this, so I can only assume that this beer was not capable of holding my interest long enough to even scribble a few notes. ILoveNewBeer (63), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Apr 18, 2008 Weak beef. This is a watered down version of Blue Moon. Imagine if you added ice to a Blue Moon and forgot about it for 30 min, this would be the result. gws57 (920), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Apr 11, 2008 Had this one canned in Stevens Point, Wisconsin; thanks Slothgar! Hazy, dark yellow pour with a nice thick and foamy off white head, light malty and ctrusy nose, refreshing limey taste, a bit of baked bread, some spice. Light, soft finish. Actually, very good, especially out of a can. ECorsetti930 (5), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA does not count Apr 9, 2008 had it at a beer festival - pretty typical belgian-white; nothing too special
