Quite nasty colour, reminds me of my urine in the morning. Sweet aroma. Flavour: not disgusting, but neither intruiging. Just totally flat.

This ale really sucks. Very thin and watery flavour and strange stable-like smells. I agree with eczematic.

A little thin and watery. Pretty light in flavour, does’nt match the dark brown appearance at all.

I was surprised to see this listed as a Belgian Ale as it tasted more like wheat beer than an ale. Anyway, light amber/orange clear colour with decent sized, white, lightly lacing, medium lasting head. Medium strength sour/sharp green hops and stronger doughy malt aromas. Soft smooth palate and light bodied. Light short bitter start, sweeter hoppy malty middle and a lighter still, yet refreshingly dry finish. Not unpleasant but probably won’t go out of my way to buy it again.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JAN 13, 2002
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2006 Re-rate, bottled, blind tasting session: Oh my god! Another beer that got shot in the head by InBev. What a waste. A few years ago this used to be a nice Belgian Ale. Now it’s more like a supermarket lager. Just a bit of apple in the aroma. Golden color, irregular head, fair lace. Light malty, light bitter, cardboard and a bit of fruits. Flat and thin. Damned! Bottled, Jan 02, 3.5: Quite a surprise. I expected something for the mass without taste. A malty and grass aroma. Amber coloured with nice head. Sweet, not a very strong taste but still ok. Caramel and a bit fruity. A nice beer to drink all evening. Short finish with just some sweetness and hops.
