Bottle. Clear yellow. Shrimp shell and stewed celery nose. Simple, transparent, nearly flavorless. Body is medium to light, fizzles away at the end. Watery and bland, stale and tastes of wet notebook paper. Pretty terrible, big surprise.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 21, 2009
Source: 12 oz bottle from Chuck’s in Bowling Green. Glass: Pint Glass. Appearance: Clear yellow pour with a one finger white head. Aroma: Grain and grassy hops. Flavor: Grainy. Abrasive bitter finish. Hint of fruit. Palate: Watery, with good carbonation. Overall: The name explains it all.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 ChainGangGuy (3682) - Canton, Georgia, USA - MAR 27, 2009
Appearance: Pours a clear, faintly yellow body with not much in the way of a head beyond the horse mug on the bottle label.
Smell: Sweetish cereal aroma with vague, indistinct notes of malt and dull, limpid hops.
Taste: Faint malt character with a light cereal sweetness. A few drops of lemon juice. Light hop flavor and bitterness, but it’s got a somewhat stale quality to it, too. Drying, though wholly empty finish -- it doesn’t finish so much as it vanishes like a disappearing wizard.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: As I’m sure others have mentioned, it just seems like a gag beer, like something you’d purchase at Spencer’s Gifts right along with a t-shirt riddled with fart jokes and a plastic stein with the word "HO" emblazoned on the side.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 RollinHard (951) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - MAR 24, 2009
Pours a straw color with a moderate head. Aroma of plastic and grass and it’s just very ordinary. Tastes a little better with flavors of grass, sweet corn, pear and a bit of overall tanginess. Finishes like toasted corn. It’s alright, better than I expected because I expected a taste that justifies the name! What I got was an ordinary non-skunked lager.
