Horse Piss Beer

Bottle: Clear beige yellow with a light white head. The nose is toasty and corny with some light adjunct, light malt and a little too little hop. No yeast or hops are there in the flavor. Mellow bland flavor. Some faint grass, rubber and husk. They certainly hit their mark.

You know how some beer names seem to set you up to expect certain things? Well, Horse Piss Beer is an apt name for this. Yellow colored beer with a short lived white head. The nose had some lemon grass, but the skunk is not too far away. Grainy tasting beer with corn and something metallic in the finish. Thin, but not watery enough to wash away the taste. Not good beer.

The name immediately caught my eye, so I picked it up- the bottle had a grinning horse on it. Pouring into the glass, the colour is very similar to some kind of piss- not sure what kind. And the aroma is very neutral of grain and malts. The taste is also very watered down and sort of grainy. Not a very good beer.

Bottle. Sweet, faintly grassy aroma with much stronger tones of corn and off notes (herbs and asparagus). Watery body, very cabonated, taste of corn flakes and light bitterness, a twinge of metal, and ending dryness. Who says there’s no truth in advertising?

bottle - Damn it, if you’re going to name your beer horse piss, doubtless knowing full well that we craft brew fans refer to cheap, grainy, watery, and mostly tasteless beers as "piss", you should only use the name in an ironic sense. In other words, the beer should actually be pretty good. Sadly, there’s no irony here. The name is spot on. It’s piss. It’s pale yellow, has a light, grainy aroma and a light, corn taste with a little bit of rather off-tasting hops. It’s watery. It sucks. Also, I’d have just called it a pale lager. Calling it a Dortmunder/Helles is an insult to those styles.

Gets a 1 simply for the name. Looks like piss, smells like piss, tastes like piss...er, i mean i’ve heard piss tastes like this! OMG I DO NOT DRINK TEH PISS!!

although i did not detect the Horse pi$$ of the name, the coudy yellow color with no head, the weak aroma and watery taste of this offering make me pan this beer. it was a waste of the alcohol allowance i have for these tastings.

Horse piss beer. Well, what can you say about something like this. Well smells like piss, haven’t tasted piss,but any beer named horse piss, probably not a good thing.
