garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA May 13, 2006 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Liquor Direct" in Covington, Kentucky.
This one poured a pale, bubbly yellow with a faint aroma of cereal and hops.
Not A great beer, this one tastes (true to its name) grassy and assy. brentfeesh (1030), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours clear and golden. Aroma is semi-sweet with a mineral layer. Actually smells fine, even quenching. The flavor is fair. Seems to land somewhere between a golden ale and lager (now that I see dortmunder I see why). There is a touch of sweetness but it does not seem out of place. Very wet and thin body. Now really people, other than the name, is this beer really as bad as all that. I think reviews of this beer are definitely the result of the name (but I guess that’s what you get for calling it horse piss). buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Jul 6, 2007 This beer isn’t really all that bad. Probably better than most macros. I think people think they are supposed to give it a horrible rating just because of the name. Pours a light slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, corn, barley and light hops. Flavor is sweetened corn and grains, mild malts, and touches of citrus. Hell, I would drink a couple more of these if I had some. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA May 8, 2006 I’m doing my best to not allow the name of this beer to influence my rating. Pours clear yellow with a thin, fizzy fully receding white head. Aroma of bready lager yeast, herbal noble hops. I don’t smell any of the off flavors that the other raters mention, smells very ’clean’ to me. Taste is watery lager, unoffensive, but also a bit bland. A bit of corn to round things out, a slight amount of toasties. Mouthfeel initially feels full bodied but disappears to present a thin bodied beer with persistant vigorous carbonation. It would appear that this beer is trying to convert BMC drinkers into craft brew, but I don’t think calling the beer horse piss helps them market this product. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Jul 2, 2006 12oz bottle from Party Source - Pours pale golden with a short white head. Aromas of light malts and corn with very light german hops. Flavor is corn with light grains and light german hops on the finish. Quite sweet throughout. Light and airy on the palate. Just a step above real horse piss I think. RollinHard (749), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 24, 2009 Pours a straw color with a moderate head. Aroma of plastic and grass and it’s just very ordinary. Tastes a little better with flavors of grass, sweet corn, pear and a bit of overall tanginess. Finishes like toasted corn. It’s alright, better than I expected because I expected a taste that justifies the name! What I got was an ordinary non-skunked lager. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA May 22, 2006 Pours yellow like the name implies with a slight haze. This is just another corny lager perhaps most impressive in the fact that you can’t tell much difference from many of the macro lagers. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA Aug 10, 2005 Bottle. Tawny honey brown body with a ring of bubbles. Nose has notes of butterscotch, cinnamon, and malts. taste-cereal, malt, lemon zest, corriander, and honey. Slightly sweet.
