The legend! Hazy yellow, grainy flaky aroma. Not bad, not pissy at all. Doughy and tasty, not at all expected.

Bottle from Stfun trade. What to say, what to say... Well, neither one of us has tasted actual horse piss. Aroma and flavor was fairly weak with little funky lager notes. Not good, but it is cool to say that you've tasted Horse Piss Beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by another patron at the Smuttynose tasting at Ale Wine & Spirits on 4/27/12. Had this one right after Red Dog, so it was truly a battle of the titans. Red Dog didn’t stand a chance. Instead of just being light, boring and slightly unpleasant, this one had all sorts of unpleasantness going on in the nose and flavor. Urine, vegetables, cardboard, you name it. At least it’s aptly named.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 04/27/2012. Pours a mostly clear yellowish color, reminiscent of the beer’s namesake, although perhaps that is the power of suggestion. Thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of stale malt and mild hops. Light body with flavors of grainy malt, corn and musty cardboard. The finish is short and is sort of tastes like wet hay or something. Didn’t stand up to the Red Dog sampled before it if that says anything.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a pale gold with a decent off-white head. Mild aroma of corn and malt. Taste is light grain and malt. Why is the horse on the label laughing?

355mL thanks to Sarah. The pour is a clear, deep gold with a rocky, healthy white head. Looks like a Helles. The nose is full and doughy. Taste is grainy, richer, oatmeal. Not bad at all. Mildly sweet and a little rich with minimal lager sting. Much better than I expected.

Ok, it’s called Horse Piss so I’ve got to try it, right? 8 bucks a 4-pack, so they know their marketing strategy is a winning one. I’m crushing this with CarytheDude at some place in Kentucky. I’m not sure whether or not JakeBra was involved in this one but it was the night before his big day so he was understandably absent, be it mentally or physically. It pours a hazy golden. Aroma is stinky, almost rotten malt. Cary said he had vinegar in this one, I didn’t detect it until he said it. Flavor is bad. I mean, corn, husky malt, misplaced sour notes. We got punked when we bought this. That’s for sure.

Crushed with Honkeybra at Sergio’s as mostly a joke since we anticipated a bad beer. Has the color of piss for sure. Wonderful aroma of vinegar and rotten malt. Flavor is more mellow than expected but it’s still pretty terrible. I wonder if the brewers of this just sit back and laugh every time they brew this.

Well in my short life I would have never imagined that I would say I enjoyed horse piss in my mouth. For what this beer is I thought it was done pretty well. Medium body and a little sour.

Bottle from a trade with phaleslu. Pours clear amber color with off white head. Vegetal and cereal malt aromas. Light caramel flavor, slightly grainy. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Peter.
