3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 adnielsen (3762) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 27, 2012
Bottle @ home. Pours a bit hazy but fairly clear appearance with a big white head. I was a little surprised by the clarity, so I poured the entire bottle in a Paulaner Weizen glass but it was still pretty clear though there was a bit of cloudiness. Initially, you notice a ton of bubblegum in the nose. After that, there’s a bit of spicy, clove element to go along with a dry, wheat maltiness. Somewhat tangy, rich bubblegum, a light lemon, a touch spicy, wheat malty flavor with a fairly effervescent, sweet finish. There really is that huge banana element to the beer like so many shitty American-made, German-style weissbier and this really is a pretty easy drinking Hefe.

Bomber from Half Time. Pours hazy gold with a slight orange tinge and a foamy/fizzy white head. Rich aroma of banana and clove with a touch of citrus. Med body. Foamy fizzy carb. Flavor is strong banana and clove. Seems like a touch of lemon citrus in the finish. This is a very strongly flavored hefe, and well worth a try.
