Bomber. Poured medium-orange and increasingly chunky as the pours progressed. The aroma picked up orange meat and honey, with floral notes and Pine-sol around.. some black pepper right on the back.. warm feel, and quite malty overall. The flavor opened syrupy, with the same malts as the nose.. moderate black pepper and orange zest bitterness around.. again on the malty side, and it seemed a bit old. Medium-bodied with a decent feel and flow on the palate.. definitely some good stuff in there, and I’d like to try it fresh on tap.

3/18/11. Bomber courtesy SHIG. Slightly cloudy orange pour with a small off-white head that fades fast. A hint of what reminds me of pilsner malt in the aroma along with some citrus hops and cat pee. Malty flavor with some citrus but not much else. Eh.

On tap at the brewery. This was golden in color with a small thin white head. Nice aroma of citrus and plenty of hops. The Flavor is mostly hops with some citrus. The 2 people pouring said they made this like a double or Imperial IPA. They should put that on the label, they can charge more then.

It’s a good, crisp IPA. It’s not overdone with the hops and it has a pine tree aroma and taste. Good, crisp, and refreshing.

22oz bomber, courtesy of STIG, slightly malty for an IPA. Very earthy, bitter, not horrible, but would ruin my palate.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1pint 6oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label has very little in the way of info. There is a website for the brewery where you can find info on the beer. Appearance: The body has light orange amber color with bit of a hazy appearance. A two finger tall white head of loose bubbles quickly settles down to a very thin covering of foam. This head makes some nice lacing on the glass as I drink. Smell: The aroma is big and bold with an intoxicating floral/citrus grapefruit bouquet. Taste/Palate: There is a light malt base that adds some mild sweetness to the big citrusy grapefruit hop flavor that dominates the overall character. Its flavor is strait forward and tasty. The fruity/floral hops bring good bitterness late into the finish and hangs on the tongue. Body, palate and carbonation are in good balance for ease of drinkability and taste. Notes: The Bright and juicy hops satisfies my hop tooth and give this big beer good drinkability.

Citrus and resin pine hop aroma with hints of malts. Cloudy light orange color with some foam. Short sweet beginning with a moderate better finish that lingers.

Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. This IPA pours a medium gold color from the tap. Large to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with some floral hops. A medium bodied IPA. He malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Crisp and clean. Decent carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
