Bottled@Timo A. Black colour, medium beige head. Aroma is lots of wooden, vanillaish, roasted malts, alcohol and some smoked notes. Also some nutty notes. Flavour is roasted, some smoked and alcohol, peat, smoked wood, malts. Words aren’t even enough. Gets better when going warmer.

Bottle thx to Bri. Pitch black with a medium sized brown head. Quite roasted and malty with notes of hops, wood, vanilla and chocolate. A bit too much liqourice for my taste. But prettty good.

Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, barbeque, roasted malt and a hint of smoke. Rich and sweet roasted flavour with a charcoal note, oak tannins and hops balancing the sweetness and a lasting roast finish.

On tap at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Served a next to black body under a small tan head. Smoot nose with chocolate and coffee doing most of the work, but also some dried fruits and a hint of alcohol. Chocolate, mocha and roasted malts in the mouth, with a coffee-like bitterness towards the finish. Bitter chocolate in the very end. Thin, at least considering the style, mouthfeel, quite flat, but with a nice warmth. A really smooth and pleasing beer in need of more body. (080913)
