Jukkabro (2394), Tampere, Finland Jan 30, 2008 Dark coppery colored with slight hazyness. Little yellow head. Nice aroma with smoke, licorice, caramel and some hops, fine and surprising aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor starts also with this sweet caramel and sweetness, this smoke can also be noticed in aftertaste. Still some wierd sourness in aftertaste, but hey, I like this. Storm (2683), Amager, Denmark May 3, 2008 50 cl bottle. Dark amber colour with a little head. Aroma of smoke and caramel. Smooth tasty flavour of smoke, caramel, malt and ends up little sweet and wiith a long nice finish. JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 19, 2008 Updated: Sep 30, 2008 Draught Chestnut coloured beer with whitish rim. Spicy, bready & smoked ham notes, saltiness amongst sweet grains, as a reduced meat stock. Unbeery, but not bad! Smoked, very much Bamberg-style, but with a much more hoppy finish. Grows on me, even with the little spicy extra. Some bubblegum on the switch from smoked to sweet. Medium bodied, falling a bit flat. It makes a good try at a Bamberg Special, but those two monikers are a bit too much honour, I fear. At least the first one. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 11, 2007 Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2007 Beautiful red-amber color; creamy head. Light but nice malt aroma, caramel. Medium body strength, some sweetness, good malt and caramel mix of flavors, good bitterness. A bit rough but enjoyable. Very light smokey flavor. Enjoyit (1108), Vadum, Denmark Aug 21, 2008 Dark amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of malt, bread, hops and smoke. A flavor of smoke, bisquit, malt, bread and old cloth.
