Cask@Ale Wagon, Leicester. Black beer with a strongish head. The aroma is herbal and malty, and the flavour is herbal, malty and lightly dry. Overall a nice beer.

Cask at The Market Porter. Black with a beige little froth. Coffee and earthy aromas and flavours, some smoked meat. Different, slightly smoked porter.

Cask, The Ale Wagon, Leicester. Near black with a small head. Aromas are smoky, earthy roast malts with soft berries. Flavours are smooth coffee and chocolate malts with berries and soft spices. OK.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Ale Wagon Leicester. A black coloured beer with ah decent off-white head. The aroma is chocolatey and malty but there’s a hint of sourness which does transgress to the taste, but doesn’t spoil the nice chocolate malts too much. Reasonable enough.
