Cask handpull, The Ale Wagon, Leicester, 26/01/12. Brilliant clarity, low white skim. Excellent pine and honey aroma like a soft-bellied German pils. Pine and thistle softened attractively with aniseed and a long, milky Ovaltine dunked Rich Tea finish. Very tasty, subtly spicy English. A top lager, basically- chilled, in the bottle and Franconian I’d score it high, so...

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicestet. Golden with a white head.  Aromas are cereal with light lemon and yeast.   Hints of biscuit with floral aspects.  Flavours are bittersweet lemon with biscuit malts and a fair degree of yeast.  Yet another beer I’ve had today with strong apple notes.  Dry with clean, fruity hops to finish.  A fair lager alternative.

Cask conditioned handpump Ale Wagon Leicester (The malt liquor on the train trip). A golden beer with a loose whitish head. A real homebrew feel to this. Straw and hay notes throughout.. Tastes green so the name is almost apt. Not rewarding.

Cask Stillage at the Sports & Social Club, Wrenbury 27/12/2007 Pale hoppy aroma. Golden coloured pale and smooth on the palate with a crisp and dry malt finish.
