Less than stellar helles. Slight barnyard aroma, taste is just plain. Mouthfeel is right, but that’s about it. Disappointing.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - grainy and lightly sweetish aroma. Body is medium, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, faint grassy hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish, light metal with light grassy hoppyness. Lightly sweetish helles - nothing special.

500 ml bottle.
Pours a clear golden colour with a large foamy white head. Aroma of lemongrass, grains and some butter. Flavour of grainy malts, citrus, peach, grassy hops and butter. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and high carbonation. Rather uncommon, yet refreshing.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, small head. Terrible aroma, very moldy. Starts malty-spicy, but also very soapy-moldy, some chemical notes. Terrible. Almost undrinkable beer!

Geruch aromatisch, lackartig, Ananas. Start süß-aromatisch. Danach süß mit Ananasaromen. Abgang liquide, immer noch süßlich, würzige Momente im Ausklang. Gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber schmackhaft.

Poured golden color with a white head. Grainy, malty and slightly sweet aroma. Flavor similar, weak grassy hops in finish.

Powertrip (999) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 11, 2010
Bottle purchased from a "DM" on 12/08/2010 in Winterberg, Germany. Colour is light gold and medium-high head. Nose: Bready malt, plain donut, touch of apple, hint of chardonnay. Taste: Light sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Vanilla custard, stale dinner roll, long sticky slightly bitter finish. A nicely contrasting nose but body that’s tries too hard...

500 ml bottle in Germany. Most of the beers from this brewery don’t seem to do well with me. I am really not sure why since the do produce some good stuff. Pours a pale cloudy yellow with a massive quick to leave head. Aroma is sour malt, strange for this type of beer. Taste is way too sour and bitter for a Helles. It tends to stick in the back of your throat. Palate is short and sour as well. Not a bad beer but not a good Helles example either. Alcohol content is almost too low and it is sour, neither of which are Helles traits.

Bottle. Sour milk malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet malt and sour milk flavor with a mildly bitter grassy hops finish. Not really a fan.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. Grainy with a strong reminiscence of sugar puffs. Not that bad actually. Possibly a bit underrated. Thanks a lot pivnizub!
