Bright pale golden coloured beer with a weak white head. Light hoppy aroma, some fruit but with a distinctly rubbery aroma. Weak, fizzy mouthfeel. Sharp hop fruit flavours to begin with, then a bitter, biscuity malt flavour, which is long but lacking, the bitterness lasts to the finish. Bought from the Ückeritzer Kartoffelfest, Ückeritz, Usedom, Germany. The beer had travelled the length of the country, why there weren't any local beers available is anyone's guess! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a pale yellow with nearly no head and some small visible carbonation. Smell is quite weak, but mostly malty with a tiny bit of pine hops, not much of the bready yeasty qualities at all. Palate is quite light with strong carbonation. Taste is not good, with a metallic watery taste with a bit of sweetness, then a lingering bitter metallic aftertaste. Not good.

Bottle from a duty free shop at Munich Airport. Clear, slightly cloudy, amber, carbonated with a small head. Weak aroma is bland like a pale lager. Sweet malty taste, very salty with slight bitterness. Watery mouthfeel. This really is a MOR pale lager in Bavarian clothing so I can only assume they had it at the airport to get it out of the country as soon as possible.

Smells malty sweet and lagery. Aka nothing. Pours piss yellow, little head, no lacing. Taste sours quickly. Cloying and rather gross. Bottle from licbo gift pack.

Mild aroma has hay and corn. Clear straw yellow, bubbly, big frothy head goes fast. Taste has same elements as aroma and is quite fresh. Medium body, light feel, average carbonation, medium long flavor is bit harsh and dry. This one will work nicely on a hot summer day.

Very clear golden pour with a light head. Grassy slightly skunky nose. Very sweet. Watery. Lots of hops. Just a touch malty. Every easy to drink but not too much here I like. Goes down well enough, but too sweet for my tastes. Slightly oily finish. I’ll pass on this one. Actually it reminds me of the plethora of Euro-pils that seem to be everywhere locally. I actually had to check the style on this.

Pale straw colour with a thin white head. The nose is a little bit minerally with a nice clean straw/hay flavour. Bright and clear with a light touch of sulphur as well. Delicately floral hoppiness with a lingering minerally character. Firm and clean - I think it’s pretty solid actually.
