2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 edpeg (219) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 1, 2012
Pours nice copper brown reddish with white head, which sets quite quickly. Aromas caramel, sweet malts, licorice, raisins. Palate is caramelly, over sweet, with some hints of ABV (7,2%). Mouth feel is thick and sticky with some what smooth carbonation. Finish is quiet balanced, sweetness is quite dominant but there are some flavors of hops and dryness. I think it is too sweet for me. Might work well on a chilly, I guess just not on today’s -15 C night...
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 TEJA (695) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 31, 2012
Thick beige head that quickly goes down to a lace. Dark red-brown color. Nutty roasted malt arom. Sweet malty taste but the sweetness is well balanced. Good body and low bitterness.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 solidfunk (434) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2012
A thick consistency. Aroma roasted malts, barley. A little bitter aftertaste and some alcohol, though the taste is light considering the high percentage. It’s decent, although it isn’t all that interesting. The palate is the beer’s strongest point. Definitely the best of the three beers from this company I got in the package, better than the landbier and Helles. 500ml bottle

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jkwood04 (1202) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 19, 2012
500ml bottle in a dimpled mug. Pours brown with a thick, light tan head. Aroma of cereal, caramel, and some light nuts/toffee for the malts plus a little bit of hops. Flavor is pretty standard, and could have more of everything. Average texture. A decent beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 suprchunk (791) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - JAN 4, 2012
Deep brown-amber colored pour. Clear. Small light tan head. Quickly falls to a slim layer of bubbles. No lacing. Slight malt aroma with a slight caramel note. Very malt taste with a big caramel presence. Slight bitterness with malty sweetness.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jackl (380) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear medium brown color with a medium off-white head. The nose is of honey, roasted malts, some floral aromas, brown sugar, chestnuts. The taste is quite sweet and malty, the finish abrupt and a bit watery. The palate is pretty simple, the body medium, the carbonation medium. The sweetness isn’t balanced out by much. While pleasant and easy to drink, it’s a bit too one dimensional. Overall, worth a sip.
