3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark amber color with medium foam without duration. Aroma of toasted malt . Very sweet , in contrast with the toasted malt and a slight bitterness . A good beer but could be a little less sweet.

Flip-top 50 cl bottle. Pours clear mahogny in color with a small off-white head. Bready maltyness, brown sugar and dark syrup sweetness in aroma. Sweet malty and notes of syrup in taste. A bit of soursweet dark bread as well in aftertaste. Some light burnt grainy notes as well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A color of reddish copper with a little white head. Aroma is overall very malty, plenty of bready and nutty notes. Taste is at first surprisingly sweet but dries a little towards the finish. German style maltiness dominates with caramel, bread and bisquit. Medium bodied, smooth and drinkable palate. Overall this malts-driven beer is very tasty but initially a bit too sweet for me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50 cl swing top bottle, 7.2%. Dark redo to mahogany color, clear, short beige head, no lacing. Smell of toasted malts, stout, coffee. Aroma is pretty sharp on the toasted malts, dark bread, caramel and whiskey, butter biscuits. Some fruity esters. Taste has a dark-sugar sweetness baked by a pomace-brandy like bitterness. Finish is fairly dry with fuel notes. Alcoholic, sustained carbonation, medium bodied. Would say this is something to be expected from a doppelbock, and overall it’s pretty clean and good enough.
