Bottle 500 ml from aldi - Gals (CH). Red brown beer with a fleeting cream head. Aromas of malt, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, cherry cordials, caramel, alcohol. The taste is soft, very malted, tasty with caramel, roasted, points of alcohol and acidulity. Bitter of roasted, alcohol and creamy malt for a soft and long finish. Excellent, cozy and warm.

Bottle (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours dark ruby-brown with beige head. The small head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, caramel, candy, malt. Flavor follows the nose. Finish is burnt caramel bitter with some hops with alcohol burn. Carbonation is rather high. Overall: nice brew.

Look; tan-beige carpet on clear medium brown body. Aroma; chocolate, caramel, mocca, strong plum jam and solid brown malts. Taste; strong caramel, chocolate, plum jam, sweet roasted malts, berries - leading to a lingering sweet malty almondy finish. Good body, soft up carbonation. Overall a nice doppelbock on normal abv. [50cl beugelfles/swingtop bottle, abv7.2%, BB02.07.2016 #A183, B@Alko Muonio FI]

Clear, chestnut color, thin head quickly dissipating to nil. Rich aroma of caramel, malt, plum, dried fruits, raisins and spices. Taste is malty, caramel sweet, dried fruits and spices again. Medium to low carbonation, medium body, alcohol well hidden. The aroma and taste reminds of Christmas, a bit like gluhwein. Very good doppelbock..

Dark red amber coloured beer with a fine, medium, medium lasting, off-white head. Caramel, herbs, french brandy, light dark fruits, light chocolate cake and roasted malt in general . Very malty in taste, good portion of warming alcohol, medium to long, roast malt dominated finish. Oily texture, medium to full body, soft carbonation. World Beer Cup Gold Award 2012, it’s incredible solid but i fail to unterstand the gold rating. I guess i’m not skilled enough.
