From bottle courtesy of Immy. Copper pour with ring of off white foam. Nose is vegetable malts with sweeter malt in the flavor. Not too bad, but the nose really messes this one up.

Bottle, 500ml. Clear ruby with a frothy tan head. Aroma is of dried fruits, caramel, cereal and alcohol. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Sweet malt character with a robust alcohol and bitter finish. Heavy and warming, but lacks the character of a top German Strong Lager.

50cl bottle at home. It pours a clear dark copper colour with a decent, but dissipating beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel and Dark fruits (lots of plums). Taste is also sweet malts, some roasted malts, brown sugar, raisins and plums and some yeast. It is medium to low body with medium carbonation. It’s not that bad.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark copper body with a beige head. Extremely malty and strong aroma of malt extract, sweet caramel and dark dried fruits (lots of prunes). Strong flavour of malt extract and sweet caramel, dark dried fruits in that back and some nutty traces. Very sweet taste with a light bitterness in the finish. Close to full-bodied, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. A good one if you like sweet malty stuff.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 2 months before BB date, courtesy of my mother in law, from somewhere in Berlin]

Bottle from Supervalu, Longford [271014]
Caramel copper brown, clear, frothy white head dissipates quickly
Aroma of sweet brown malts, slight savoury notes, soft dark fruits, light aroma
Taste of sweet rich caramel, very malty, some raisin fruits, smooth fruity caramel, alcohol well hidden, straightforward flavour
Palate - Medium carb and body, maybe a little thin, fairly sweet. Finish of smooth malts, dab of warming alcohol
Overall - Nice soft sweet malts in this

Moravius (606) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 15, 2014
