Bottle. Mahogany pour, not a lot of head. Aroma and taste of sweet toffee malt, dark fruit, sweet. Mouth feel is slightly syrupy. Some warming alcohol. A little too sugary for me.

Bottle. Dark amber colored with a frothy tan head. Alcohol is already noticeable in the nose. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and dark chocolate as well as dark berries and plum. The taste is sweet with a light bitter finish. Besides the roasty aroma and the notes of fruits, hints of sherry join into the flavor. Quite complex but well balanced with a medium body, medium carbonation and some alcoholic warmth.

Beautiful pour, with a dark mahogany color that looks crimson against a strong light. A gray-ish ead dissappears after a few seconds. Powerful aroma of caramel malts with notes of molasses, beet-root juice, truffles, nuts and Christmas spices. Some phenols or liquorish notes come to the fore but they are generally not distracting. Taste is sweet but not cloying. Caramelly and rich, maybe not as overwhelming as Celebrator or Andechser, but still pretty intense stuff. Medium body and sticky texture. Warming. Feels like a liquid meal. The 0,5 liter bottle was fine (it would be too much for other examples of the style). That speaks out loud about a drinkable Doppelbock. Nice.

Morena oscura. Espuma de 2-3 dedos blanca. Aroma a caramelo y malta tostada. Muy cremosa y suave en boca con marcado carácter a chocolate, caramelo y algo de especias. Disimula bien el alcohol. Buena cerveza, agradable, pero dos cansarían.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2015 Tasty Doppelbock. Booze is well hidden, caramel and yeasts dominate the flavour.

Pours cherry wood dark with a thick creamy cap. Tastes like Fall weather: brown sugar, caramelized root vegetables, under baked pumpernickel bread. A little too syrupy for my taste. Enjoyable sipper on a grey rainy day with the bioshock soundtrack murmuring in the background.
