(swing top bottle) Slightly unclear, golden colour with a short and blond foamy head. Slightly sugary bready malt aroma with subtle fruity and shy hoppy notes. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Bready malt character with traces of caramel, subtle fruity notes, as well as slightly flowery and herbal hops; sweet and slightly sticky malty finish. Likeable but lacks character. 17.V.14

Botella de 500ml. Vaso Lager. 500ml bottle. Lager glass. Golden color, crystal clear appearance. White froth creates close head & shows fairly good retention. Floral hues, intense sulfur & grainy aromas to the nose. Dried sensation & pale malts at first sip. Medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Dense texture. ABV is felt as an artificial sweetish flavor. Floral, earthy & harsh bitterness, apple, biscuit & honey hints touched by acidic banana peel notes are shown in the middle. Cloying sweetish apple juice & honey finish & aftertaste.

Poured from a bottle into a Duvel glass. Clear golden color with initial white head that died away pretty quickly. Aroma is malty, but fairly nondescript. Sharp, slightly alcoholic taste at the beginning, that gives way to long, medium sweetness. Not much bitterness to balance the beer. Texture is a bit sticky with average carbonation. Overall, tastes like a fairly generic heller bock. Fairly one-dimensional with sweetness pervading and lingering.

ThirstyBird (1994) - Düsseldorf, GERMANY - APR 2, 2014
Pours a clear brilliant golden yellow color with a small white cap. The smell is grain, hay, mild fruit, and a hint of caramel. The taste is fairly sweet with some fruit and caramel, grain and hay ending a bit dry. The body is a bit oily and light/medium with tight active carbonation. Overall, not particularly special but decent.

Darker yellow with fading foam head. Nice but not outstanding barley, small hoppy aroma and taste. Refreshing beer indeed. (Velp 201402)

Swing top bottle, 500 ml, at home, into a tulip. ABV 6.5% Bright golden yellow colour on the body, crystal clear with nice activity in it, one finger of white, thin head with average retention and light lacing left behind. Aroma is malty and bready, some floral notes. Taste is better than expected, sweet and very malty, light floral notes, sugar. Thin body, low carbonation. Overall an okay one.

500 ml. bottle. Golden colour, pours a minimal head that doesn’t hold. Smell of grains, floral and herbs. Medium to full body, sticky palate. Taste is very sweet, malt is everywhere, though some hops come by at times. Caramel, honey. Good.
