2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from a bottle into a Duvel glass. Clear golden color with initial white head that died away pretty quickly. Aroma is malty, but fairly nondeScript. Sharp, slightly alcoholic taste at the beginning, that gives way to long, medium sweetness. Not much bitterness to balance the beer. Texture is a bit sticky with average carbonation.
Overall, tastes like a fairly generic heller bock. Fairly one-dimensional with sweetness pervading and lingering.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear brilliant golden yellow color with a small white cap. The smell is grain, hay, mild fruit, and a hint of caramel. The taste is fairly sweet with some fruit and caramel, grain and hay ending a bit dry. The body is a bit oily and light/medium with tight active carbonation. Overall, not particularly special but decent.
