2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Looks like standard megaswill lager. Tastes a little better, though. Quite malty, but not very bitter.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light golden color with a moderate head that settles to a dense lid of white bubbles. Aroma of fresh baked rosemary bread. Very light malt start with a light body to match. Middle seems to be like chewing on hay, dry somewhat grassy and herbal. The finish dry and watery with a floral bitterness. Needs some heft and balance.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a translucent blond with a medium white head. Nose is grassy and malty with a nice doughy bread hint. The taste is malt, bread and yeast with a small amount of hops. Not too bad. There's a sweetness in the taste as well. Very drinkable and inoffensive if not altogether plain. Finishes smoothly enough. Decent beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Paid $2.50 for a pintish bottle.
Very plain golden, with a small, but frothy white head.
Not much of a smell, but what's there is typical grassy. No surprises here.
Earthy, leafty, grassy, and dirty tasting. Not my cup of tea, but it has little to no aftertaste.
Nice mouth... fizzy, poppy, smooth. Best thing about this beer.

1.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Clear yellow, only faintest trace of carbonation, absolutely no head. Grassy aroma. Palate is totally flat, serious problem here, possibly the result of a bad flip top? Of course I've had countless bottles of Grolsch that have never once had this problem, but... Flavor is inoffensive, lightly malty, some hop bitterness. Will try another bottle at some point as a re-rate, but this is heading towards drain pour territory due to the carbonation issue.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not much in the aroma, perhaps a little burnt malt. The flavor is weak, nothing like a Christmas-brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bought in the "flip-top" 500ml bottle with the bavarian castle and colours on the label.
Nice light golden coloured beer, with a nice sized pure white head that lingers, some slight haziness.
Nice fresh hoppy lager aroma, pretty good.
The taste has a pretty nice balance between the malts and the hop flavours, sweet to start then gets decidedlly bitter as it goes on.
The mouthfeel is slightly cloying for some strange reason but its not terrible.
A pretty drinkable beer overall but not great.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Big sulphury/buttery aroma nearly ruins this golden helles, flavor isn't quite as tainted though, with some nice mild continental malt and noble hop character. I need to try a fresher bottle...

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Seems and awfully light gold color for a Munich Helles and has no head retention, but looks can be deceiving. Lightly malt and grainy, pretty clean otherwise. Taste is pretty much the same but it also has a little green apple and hop flavor to it. It has a dry finish and clean aftertaste; Fairly bland for a Helles type of beer and not very exciting. Light bodied and has a prickly carbonation and dry a dry mouthfeel. Not a very exciting beer, about a half step above the American macro beers.
