Significant bitter taste though rather strange as a British bitter.
On tap at Bar Volo. Light grapefruit coloured body. A lighter mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2013 Something odd in taste here. A little bitternes, and some offtaste. Pours blond. Smells a little hoppy, some malt. On tap at volos.

Slightly cloudy amber with a thin foamy off-white head. Malty sweet, with notes of figs, citrus and resiny bitters. Sticky thick viscosity.

November 30, 2012 - on cask at Volo. Hazy deep ruby-amber with a decent but diminishing frothy/foamy off-white head. A little papery diacetyl in the aroma, somewhat sweet and sticky - floral? Taste is pretty clean - no paper - light, sweet, no alcohol, only vaguely bitter and floral/grassy - light body, mild carbonation - basically a sort of run-of-the-mill bitter with lots of dried grassy low-level hopping - ehh.

Cask at Volo. Pours a deep orange-amber with a small long-lasting bubbly white head. Mild aroma of fruit, a bit sweet and with light grassy hops. Flavour, also mild, is fruity, lightly hoppy and with caramel malt. Average bodied. A bit mild for me, bit it fits the style, pretty good overall.

On cask at Volo. Pours a hazy orange brown with creamy head. Aroma is citric hops, grains and fruit. Taste solid but not overpowering citrusy hops, some graininess and a bit of fruit. A nice bitter with some west coast character.

Aroma: aromatic with West Coast citric bend , slight creamy backing of old world. Fresh 7+
Appearance: murky haze amber with long lasting creamy top.
Palate / Taste: medium bodied with thinner walls. Leafy , fruity sides with clean malty mid. Drinkable with good heft feel. Slightly creamy with lower carbonation typically found in British cask brews.
