On tap at Volo. Beer for boobs. Gotta love that. The beer part of the aroma is good, the espresso part is just okay. I don’t remember why I wrote that. It tastes like chocolate milk. A little thin though. It finishes like a chocolate popsicle. Sweet, but it makes me nostalgiac for chocolate popsicles, so that’s okay.

From notes, at Bar Volo. Pours a thick black colour with a slight fizzy head.Aroma of coffee and slight hops. Flavour is roasted coffee and some chocolate malts.

Smells straight up like the espresso in the name. There is some malt mixed in there as well. A little taste of candy sweetness on the nose. Aftertaste has some sourness and a bit too much sweetness for me or id rate it higher on palate. Still a pretty interesting package.

Great stuff! Was like cold coffee. Huge dose of espresso, light cocoa, and a little lactic. Light bitterness, and a great coffee aftertaste. Loved every drop.

Draught at Volo, March 25. Pours black with an average size frothy light-brown head. Huge aroma with lots of coffee, roasted malt and some light hops. Flavour, like the aroma, has lots of coffee, some roasted malt, light leafy hops and adds some chocolate. Bitter coffee finish. Medium bodied. If you’re a coffee fan, this is a great beer.

[4353-20120325] Tap. Chili richly roasted burnt wood aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy brown head. Burnt coffee grounds flavour has a long dry roasted aftertaste. Full body is not noticeably boozy. Delicious. (7/4/7/4/16) 3.8

March 25, 2012 - draught at Volo’s Beer for Boobs event. Beautiful-looking pour, thick, black and oily, with a solid diminishing creamy/fizzy light brown head (4-). Aroma - oh yeah, coffee, treacle and cream with a little bit of mint. Taste is mostly coffee, some building alcohol and more bitterness (7+). Thick body, airy/foamy carbonation, strong acidic coffee/coffee grounds aftertaste and linger - a solid, solid milk/coffee stout.

On cask at Volo. Pours an ultra dark brown/black with a moderate-sized brown head. Aroma is huge coffee, dark chocolate and a comparatively light hoppiness. Flavour is big roasty coffee and cocoa with a modest citrusy/fruity note. Lingering roasty bitterness in finish. Very nice.

2012-03-25. Black body, nice tan head. 4+ Flavour has a very strong coffee/espresso bean character, reminds me of the centre of chocolate covered coffee beans. Sweet base malt is pleasant, lingering dry roast. The flavour gets much sweeter as you go, to its benefit for my tastes, not sure if the beer changes or if I have just acclimatized. 6+ Dry roasty coffee aroma is like walking into a good coffee shop, very muted malt notes. 6+ Smooth average plus palate. 3+ Well made, but the coffee dominance is a bit much for my tastes as a non-coffee drinker. On tap at Volo Beer 4 Boobs event, Toronto
