From notes, at Bar Volo. Pours a nice golden amber colour with a long lasting foamy head.Aroma of pine resin, caramel and buiscuits. Flavour follows aroma with notes of sweet citrus fruit.

May 2, 2012 - on cask at Volo. Amber-gold with a large and lasting frothy off-white head. Lush aroma of resin, dry leafy bitterness, a bit of caramel toasty malt - nice! Taste follows, some alcohol, a bit of apricot from somewhere, dry, leafy and massively bitter (toasty). Decent body, pretty astringent, solid carbonation for cask, with a long, almost burnt/dry bitter finish and linger - not one you would drink 3 straight pints of, but solid, if aggressive.

Cask at Volo IPA Challenge. Pours a cloudy copper with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of catty, hempy, resiny hops along with malt in the background. Lots of hops in the flavour, quite catty, hempy and a bit spicy. Big bitter finish. Average bodied. Really good stuff.

[4386-20120421] Cask. Bitter orange peel hops aroma. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting bubbly off-white head. Bitter orange peel flavour has a hint of butter in the finish. Medium body. Tasty. (7/3/7/3/16) 3.6

2012-04-21. Lightly hazy pale golden yellow body with a nice frothy white head. 3+ Flavour has a good amount of bitterness, grassy green leafy hops. 7+ Aroma is dry, grassy leafy hops. Average to light bodied palate, modest carbonation. Decent. Blind Tasting on Cask at Volo IPA Challenge

Cask at 2012 Volo IPA Challenge. Very pale golden straw pour. The nose is solid and fresh. A little bit herbal but quite lovely. Juicy with a little bit of resin. Some orange marmalade and a little bit of almost English character. A nice lingering hoppiness. Good stuff.
