Deep brown ... roast and chocolate malts ... wee bit bitter ... thin roast nose. maeib (3816), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Feb 19, 2007 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Luton BF. A very dark brown coloured beer with no head. The aroma is malty and has caramel notes. Actually quite dry in the nose. The taste is dry and malty with a little coffee. Definitely came over as a decent but not outstanding porter. Thomas_E (4814), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 12, 2006 Deep amber, reddish colour with a dense tan head.
