[cask at SRAF’11] Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Some hop on the nose, together with a vague malt sweetness. The balance is there on the taste as well – this is clearly well-made, but just a bit too insipid. Finish fades away rather than ending dry, the faint hop profile peters out (no pun intended) [16062011]

Malt and a little yeast, rather light weight. Lacks the bitter edge to make it really refreshing or quaffable. Not bad, just not worth seeking out.

Cask
Pale gold pint, creamy head.
Nice hop nose; bit of citrus and stonefruit, malt takes a backseat.
Lean body, quite dry, low carbonation.
Hops dominate body, grapefruit, bitter orange, spice, hint of honeyish malts. Reasonably good bitter finish.
Enjoyable, hop-driven ale; one of the better ones i’ve come across in Scotland.
