bluevegie (2852) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 12, 2007
Cloudy honey coloured body with a large frothy white head. Some spice on the nose, dull taste with hidden alcohol, spices again in the taste as well as some caramel, drinkable but a little bit boring.

Bottle at Paters Vaetje in Antwerp. Aroma is mild malty caramel. Sorta thin, but with some malt in front and a clean finish. Inoffensive: the only real redeeming factor here is that it’s nice and clean in the finish, and thus easy to drink.

Bottle @ Samson, Nijmegen. Pours a lightly hazy red amber with a small creamy white head that becomes a thin film. Aroma has berries and caramel. Quite high carbonation and very fresh. Flavour is sweet, spicy with a little berries (is it strawberries?). Dries out well at the end. Very good and fresh.

Bottle: poured a carbonated orangeish hazy brown with a thick creamy off white tiny bubble filled head. The aroma is spicy and hops with some fruit hints. Taste is a rich spicy fruit malt with a slight alcohol burning finish.

Bottle conditioned, 250ml, at Take 1, Maastricht. Gold, cloudy with white bubbly head. Bittersweet spicy beer with a particular hoppy dry finish and a tangy lemony character on the tongue. By now, we were well and truly one of the Landlords ’victims’ and a jolly good time we were having.

25cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Amber colour, hazy with thin beige head. Some peppery hop, some sticky candy sugar aroma. Slightly peppery Belgian beer. Reasonable even if the malt is a bit uncultured.
