Bof...

Specialty beer taken over by Strubbe in 1992 from a micro brewery which ceased activities meanwhile, if I am correctly informed. Golden blonde, thirst-quenching, sweetish, fruity beer with aniseed, which is applied in a subtle way and therefore - fortunately - not dominant. Good session beer, but rather thin in body and character.

Bottle from Willems. Amber pour with thin dissappearing white head. Light malty caramel aroma, leafy hop, dull belgian malt. Taste is sweet, light leafy hops, caramel, light spicy finish. Sooo boring. This is about as exciting as a bowl of peppermints.

Bottle 250 ml at home, poured into a tulip. ABV 6.5% Pours an amber coloured beer, very clear, with two fingers of off-white head sitting on top. Very good retention. Very fruity aroma, caramel, fresh peaches, light apricot, yeast, some wine notes. Taste of caramel, spices, iron, surely less complex than the aroma. Medium thon body, average carbonation, quite dry palate. Overall okay, it would be much better if all the aromas could find their way on the taste too.
