3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 RoyceH (1129) - Hesperange, - MAR 25, 2009
Bottle at Take One, Maastricht. Dark orange with a thick fluffy off-white head. Nose is fruity and yeasty, with some cinnamon and pepper. Mouth is actually quite refreshing, fruity, some yeastiness still there, quite heavy tannin character, but drinkable. Easy to sip, and easy on the palate, leaves it fresh and lemony, peachy. Quite an easily drinkable beer.

Bottle @ home. Standard clear golden color. Smell wheat, grains and light spicy. Taste malts, grains, little sour. Not bad for a spice/herb/vegetable beer, but not something I’d have again soon.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Vaiz (1847) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 1, 2011
Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is grainy and stale, somewhat sour apple and a hint of sugary malts. Flavor is sweet malts, grainy, slightly metallic and with some rough somewhat bitter finish. Quite lively carbonation. Quite bad.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 txspartan (601) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - APR 3, 2011
Spiced ale can swing both ways. This one errs on the safe side of caution and results in an alright beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jgb9348 (3369) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 1, 2011
Slightly orange tinted golden body with a nice thick white head and a trillion bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of strong malt, a touch of light hops and a little dry hay and grass. Medium-bodied; Light hop and malt flavour with a dry grassy and sweetness near the end. Aftertaste shows some light hay, a little apple sweetness and some subdued dryness at the very end. Overall, a decent beer - mild, but showing some good and class throughout. I sampled this 25 cL bottle purchased from Cracked Kettle in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on 03-January-2011 for €1,63 sampled later in the day at my hotel room in Amsterdam.
