Säuerlich-hefiger Grundton, wird zunehmend malzig-fruchtiger (grüner Apfel), um dann angenehm nachzubittern. Gutes Zwickel!

Getreidig-süßer Antrunk, wenig herb, süffig, im Mittelteil malziger. Die hintergründige Würzigkeit in Verbindung mit der Herbe ist angenehm, im Abgang hopfiger, die Herbe aus dem Mittelteil ist stärker. Ein Sommerbier.

On tap at the brewpub in Dortmund. Hazy golden pour with a whitish head. Decently bitter herbal aroma. Flavor doesn’t quite match it - yeasty, fruity, mildly bitter, but tastes somewhat watery. Mouthfeel is thin. The regular Hoevels is better, but this is alright.

Draught @ Hövels Dortmunder, Hoher Wall 5-7, 44137 Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly - fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, perfume, spicy, light to moderate yeasty, soap. Flavor is moderate sweet and shell bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090305]

(from the tap at Hövels Hausbrauerei in Dortmund) Hazy, golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Quite sweet malty, slightly worty and yeasty aroma with a touch of honey. Sweet flavour, light to medium body, smooth carbonation. Initially moderately malty and yeasty taste, moderately bitter and quite aromatic herbal hoppy finish. A tad too sweet but all in all okay (03.05.06).

On tap (@the brewpub): Hazy, deep golden to amber coloured, mid-sized, lacing head; sweet malty, yeasty aroma with a touch of aromatic hops; sweetish flavour, medium bodied; sweet, yeasty and bitter finish. A drinkable brew, maybe a bit too sweet.......
