Poured clear amber/reddish with a fine creamy tan head. Good lookin’...Nice fruity aroma with a caramel base, some nuts and herbal hops. Medium bodied one with a nice oily texture. Caramel and some freaky toasted nuts again, nice flavor profile with a smooth mouthfeel, dry fruity hop in the finish. Dry aftertaste with some yeast. Well rounded, fine alt one.

Nice aroma of spice and flowers, tree bark. A little thin-bodied, nice cross between frothy and dense foam. Light brown, very clear. Flavor is malty (bread), quite bitter, with a chalky, earthy, metallic bit - hmm, don’t like that.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Gr0ve (1756) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2010
500 ml bottle. Dark amber colour. Clear. Medium-sized white fine-laced head. Rich dark malty aroma with crisp spicy hops. Carbonation is lively, likely enhanced by the spicy hops. Nutty and caramelly malt flavours. Finished by a slightly metallic bitterness.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bierkrug (1643) - Idar-Oberstein (In Senegal), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - OCT 9, 2010
500 ml flip-top bottle in Germany. A very strange sort of beer, Pours a tea like color, head is while and fluffy. Tastes like an English bitte and a dark lager, it is not unpleasant, but there is a good strong bitterness, Palate is a strane metal that lingers. Decent enough without being spectacular, but it is not really for me.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsga (4435) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2010
Medium shiny lasting pale beige head. Amber body with carbonation. Fruity caramelly aroma with minty notes. Dry-sweet strawy resiny grassy taste with caramelly floral notes. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Light body. Very clean and harmonic. Dry caramelly floral fruity aftertaste with wooden grassy notes. Very nice, and highly drinkable. Incredibly subtle. (0.5l bottle, Morrison’s, Leipzig.)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerCast_Rich (1056) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 22, 2010
500ml bottle [Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn]
Really unsure what to expect from this one - total random purchase. Pours highly carbonated with dispersing head, very nice caramel brown colour. Caramel malt aroma with some sweetness. Malt is the first taste as well, which gradually gives way to rising sweetness that takes over. Cold, it’s pretty refreshing, gets a bit too sweet as it reaches above cellar temperature. Doesn’t taste 5.5% at all. [12/11/2009]
