UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 Earl’s rhino branded sleeve. Not much head, due to pouring technique. What the hell, I’m here for beer, not foam! A darker amber color on this baby. A degree or two too cold for this sipper, but it’ll surely warm up. A nice balance of malt and hops here. A winner!

On tap. An amber colored lightly uncear beer topped by a finger-thick, off-white head. Lightly citrusy and piney aroma with some caramel maltyness in the back. The flavor is pretty much the same, a shot of caramel malts and sweetness serves as a backdrop for bitterness and hoppy flavors. Lasting finish with fruityness and a decent bitterness. Overall, quite nice, but a bit heavy on the caramel malts I think. 130703

Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a nice big dirty white colour that sticks around and laces all the way up the glass. Aromas of sweet pale malts, toasty/bready(british) malt is present, and citrus. In the flavour the malts take a bit more of a back seat than in the aroma. Flavour is grapefruit, medium bitterness thats well blended, and some sweet malts. Very session-able beer.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2013 Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color With a frothy white head and lots of lace. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus and sweet malts. Taste is much of the same with a perfect balance between the hops & malts. The balance is so well that it may not seem so bitter but it is a very sessionable IPA.

Pours a cloudy amber tone. Has a sweet, citrus aroma, similar to its flavour followed by the sharp bitterness characteristic of IPAs. I just don’t like IPAs.

Draught at Grain, Hyatt Regency, Vancouver, Oct. 5. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with an average size diminishing off-white head with some lacing on the glass. Aroma of grain and hops, slightly resiny and fruity. Flavour of resiny hops, fruit and caramel malt along with a decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not an amazing IPA or anything but a pretty good one.

A IPA, which is more about its malt profile than its hop profile. Not horrible, but the aroma seems to be where the majority of the hops in this beer went. Caramel and plum flavours as well as a surrounding mediocre citrus grapefruit bitterness. Would have loved to see more hops in this one, but drinkable none the less.

Bottle - Malty with grapefruit/aromatic hops on the nose. Thick white head and a clear amber hue. Very mild with some hop bitterness, caramel/malt character is nicely balanced against hops. A very nondeScript and sessionable IPA, but nothing too unique.
