Pours a chocolate brown. With a light off white head. The flavor has molasses, with a little anis and finishes with a intense bitter hoppiness.

Pours very nice red/brown with a tight almost cream head. Visually a good looking beer. Taste is good good bitterness, with what I perceive to be the usual west coast IPA hop characteristics of bitter grapefruits, citrus, a lil lemon zesty somethiní. Carbonation is nice, good mouth coating. It hides the 6.8%ABV nicely, very "sessionable". Howe Sound, Iíll be back.

On tap at The Met in New Westminster. Definitely on the dark side. Malty and hoppy at the same time. Seems to follow a growing trend. A good trend, methinks! A bitter, citrus aftertaste. Not bad at all!

On tap, Alibi room in Vancouver. Found the balance to be off from expected: not enough hop flavor, by a long shot. The malt flavor itself is pretty well done, dark but not too burnt.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at St. Augustineís, pours dark brown with a reddish tinge. Subtle nose of a cross between assertive hoppiness and the roasted malt character of a porter. Flavour begins with rich roasted malts flavours like a porter and finishing with light hoppy notes and a touch of berry-like fruitiness. Really well done.
