This beer has the most flavor and aroma of the Hefeweizen beers I have tasted. The cloudy appearance when poured only adds to the appearance. The aroma is distinct but not over whelming. I recommend this beer to anyone who enjoy’s Hefeweizen.

Bottle purchased in Kelowna. Colour is cloudy mid-yellow. Nose: Tonnes of wheat and prairie grains, almond meal, musty malt, enriched flour. Taste: Huge wheat all over...just lots and lots of it, vast array of bitter barley. This one is a real grainy blast. Perfect to be enjoyed after a horseback ride on the prairies.

Ginormous swingtop bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a soft white head. Sweet and wheaty, with banana and bubblegum in the aroma and flavour, a little spicy and mildly estery.

At brewpub and in their flip-top jugs. Best hefeweizen effort I’ve had in BC. Gorgeous creamy, high, and lasting head with cloudy body. Excellent flavor profile with fresh malt as detectable as the banana. Body is clean and not cloying.

GCBF sample. Hazy pale yellow. Nice banana aroma. Thin but zesty with a light banana flavour.

Pours an only slightly cloudy pale yellow with a very quickly forgotten head and a very slight sweaty/metallic aroma. At first it tastes watery with slight hops, but then the flavour comes out in full force. Very flowery taste, light lemon-cleaning-product, a touch of cloves, with slight sweetness and even slighter hops. Aftertaste all but nonexistent. Lacking in carbonation like all Howe Sound bottled beers, thin body. This is much better than their Whitecap, but no prize for this one.

Strong wheat and banana esters in the aroma but not a lot of spice. Hazy golden body is topped by a generous and lasting white head that coats the sides of the glass as it recedes. Wheat is strong in the flavour with pleasant banana esters and clove-like phenols that become more apparent as it warms. Banana and wheat are both quite lingering. Light body is quite dry with assertive carbonation but somewhat slick texture. Weizen glass. Just above fridge temperature. 1L swingtop bottle (Brewery Creek, Mar-07).

Dark golden with minimal haze. Small white head. Aroma is a little banana and clove with some citrus. Flavour was sweet and almost corny with a touch of wheat and citurs. Pretty thin throughout. I prefer the Whitecap.
