A refreshing, German-styled wheat beer with a distinctive banana and clove aroma, it is made with barley, wheat, hops, water and hefe yeast and named in recognition of the thousands of climbers who come from around the world to climb Squamish, BC’s walls, crags, cracks, slabs and boulders

Shared by someone at the Monte’s Krown tasting yesterday. Huge 1 liter swing top bottle. Pours a cloudy golden with a frothy white head. Fruity flavor, very sweet. Decent.

Pours rusty straw color with a white lacy head. The nose has the classic banana and coriander with hints of clove. Medium to full body. The pallet screams again the classic hefeweizen flavor of banana and coriander. The mouth feel is a little hot. In my opinion making this an imperial takes away from the smooth refreshing aspects of this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle [1L] shared with garthicus & HogTownHarry -- c/o GregClow. March 21. Pours a murky peach-copper with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma is sugary sweet along with banana, wheat, yeast and a bit of alcohol. Flavour’s also sweet but not as much along with wheat, banana, more fruit, light herbs and spices. Medium bodied. It’s fine but it’s not for me.

Thanks to GregClow for sharing this with us. Appearance: Bright orange, cloudy with a medium white head. Aroma: Banana, sweet, a little earthy, yeasty too. Flavour: Nicely yeasty, clove, a little boozy, good banana notes, enjoyable banana finish.

1 liter swing top. It pours a beautiful, vibrant color. It is a hazy golden amber with a foamy white head that leaves creamy lacing. The smell is good. Obviously more basic than a German hefeweizen. Mostly bubblegum and malt. Smells almost more like a Belgian witbier strain than a hefe-weizen. The flavor is also imo more belgian-like. It also reminds me of the New Glarus version of this "style". I like weizenbocks but this imperial weizen stuff is somehow different and decidedly American.

Thanks to manuchampions for this. Pours a fairly clear golden yellow with a thin white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of moderate banana and clove. Taste is bright malt with banana and light hop.
