A dark rich black stout utilizing humongous amounts of roasted barley, black malt, flatted barley and Warrior, Green Bullet and Willamette hops. Thick enough to fill potholes!

Big molasses aroma with malty nots. Pours an opaque black with a nice mostly diminishing foamy tan head. The taste is malt forward. A strong molasses flavor up front, with dark roasted malts and a bitter finish. Medium-full body with medium carbonate. Overall, good but not as smooth as Piropeller Imperial Stout.

Very rich dark stout with a gorgeous tan head leaving lots of lacing. Big malt flavours with a full mouthfeel. A great one!

Pours thick and black. Licorice and malt on the nose; perhaps coffee notes as well. Medium dark tan head that leaves spotty lacing. The head lasts for a minute or so, which I like. This is a full bodied stout that is a pleasure on the palate with a full mouth feel.

Beer pours a solid black colour with a generous light brown head that laces well. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is full bodied and mildly carbonated. Flavour is pretty one dimensional with the coffee and dark chocolate dominating.

Pours an opaque black with a medium sized light brown head and a bunch of small spots of lace on the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, cocoa, licorice, and dark chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, cocoa, licorice, dark chocolate, medium bitterness, and moderate sweetness with a burnt malt type dryness.

Pours an opaque black with a frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted barley, chocolate, cocoa, anise, fennel and sweet black licorice. Taste is black licorice, anise, fennel, dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee bitterness. Excellent full bodied imperial stout that has lots of black licorice flavor but very complex and balanced. Howe sound has done it again!

Bottle... Pours nearly black. Olfactory standouts are fudge and vanilla. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is an intermingling of roasty, sweet, dark chocolate malts and medium bitter hops. Finishes sweet and chocolaty.

Pretty much black in color with a deep brown head. Roasty up front followed by a really nice hit of chocolate and espresso notes. Good hop flavor without being overly bitter. Oily body. Good.
