3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It pours ruby; the head is cream, with an orange tint, and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: pumpkin-flesh, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin rind, earth, nutmeg, and pepper. The taste is heavy sour that finishes light bitter; there are notes of: pumpkin flesh, very earthy (dirt baby), pepper, and biscuit. The palate is medium bodied, light carbonation, and long finish. Overall, I can picture failed jack-o-lanterns bobbing about in the vat.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
1 L bottle a friend bought. Pours hazy red-orange with a creamy beige head. Aroma of malt, pumpkin, cloves, nutmeg, caramel. An exceptionally well rounded pumpkin beer however it lacks that "special something" to really distinguish it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours orange with a dissipating cream head. The aroma is of pumpkin spice and a bit of citrusy hops. the taste is slight malt, noticeable alcohol, some pumpkin, medium hop finish. I feel like this should have a heavier body, with more malt and hop presence considering the ABV.

1 litre bottle from LCBO as a gift from Christine! Decided it had to be opened on Halloween even though its a lot of spiced beer for one person...and I was right - so only open this if you have someone (or more) to share it with unless you really like this kind of beer. Also I found the second glass was much better then the first one so this definitely benefits from some airing out. Slightly hazy dark orange with a generous biege head. Nutmeg, pumpkin, cloves, toasted malts, not overly sweet which is nice and not much alcohol either. Moderate carbonation, temperate body, slight sweetness, quite dry on the finish with malt and more spice. Enjoyable but not really my thing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
First things first. 1L bottles of pumpkin beer is too much. Pours a dark orange amber with a small white ring. Aroma is pumpkin nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is intense cinamon bite followed with nutmeg and pumpkin spice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice big 1 Litre brown bottle from the LCBO with a cap, and a swing-cap to close it after opening. Pours a slight hazy, copper-amber colour, with an off-white head that is fizzy, but gives one glass a little coating over it. The other glass has not much. Some lacing as the brew goes down. Spicy aromas of cinnamon with notes of pumpkin and alcohol. Nice creamy-oily mouthfeel. A bit more spices going on in the taste, but still, all well-blended with nothing really sticking out like a knife. Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, pumpking, grain malt and a touch of hop. Quite a nice Imperial pumpkin ale that I would buy anytime (especially for today - Halloween).

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask. Deep amber pour. A ton of earthy hops and loads of spice on the aroma. Way too much anise and spice. Leaves an astringent/chalky mouthfeel. Couldn’t even finish 4 oz of this. I have to imagine it’s different in the bottles and I may revisit this one.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Leaves bubbles on the glass. Mostly clear with some head. Nice pumpkin flavor has a nice pumpkin pie flavor. I like that in this style. Tasty.

Hm we were trying to figure out the spices in this while drinking, apparently it was on the bottle... we got cinnamon and nutmeg... missed the clove and anise, too bad. Oddly enough pumpkin in ale tastes a lot like alcohol to me so I couldn’t figure out if the finish contained ethanol or not.
Not just a novelty, this stands well on its own.
