This has been around a while. Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Brown coloured body, lacey. The aroma is nutty and rootbeerish. Licorice taste. Average mouthfeel, suitably carbonated. Decent drinkability.

14oz glass at Local. Typical brown colour with amber tones. Small layer of tan foam on top. Big malty nose, brown sugar caramel and chocolate. Flavor is chocolatey, some grains. Dryish finish. Soft mouthfeel with light carbonation. Decent.

Dark brown pour with off-brown head. Aroma is very much hazelnuts and cocoa. Taste is chocolatey but very dry; a touch too much for me to rate this higher.

Capped 1L swingtop from Ledgerís. Pours pretty dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is rather nuts and cocoa. Med body. Flavor is nuts and threads of cocoa. Finishes with a touch of brown sugar, but itís a little astringent and fairly dry. Nice flavor, mod. ABV, itís a session beer.

Pop top from Chuckís. Picked this one up after the Howe Sound tasting at Chuckís. Best one I tried there despite the three imperial ales presented. Smells like roasted nuts tastes faintly of caramel. Nothing too overpowering and completely session-able beer. They also have cool bottles which scores some points as well.

1 L. bottle bought from B.C. liquor store. Pours a reddish brown with a moderate head that fades fairly quickly. Caramel and nut aromas with hints of roasted malts, although not overdone. This beer has a moderate body with low carbonation. Chocolate and roast aftertaste. A good and well-balanced beer.

1 liter. clear brown with a small, creamy, tan head. very strong aroma of toasted nuts, caramel, brown sugar. palate is medium. flavor are robust brown sugar and caramel with a toast. moderate carbonation. one of the nicest brown ales iíve tried in a long time. exactly how I think a good brown should be crafted.

1L bottle. Pours a medium-dark amber with a lasting tan head. Aroma of malt, some earthiness. Tastes very malty; notes of caramel, molasses, some chocolate... nut tones. Earthy sweet bitterness. Finishes with a grassy nut earthiness. One of the best brown ales I have ever tasted.

Dark brown, translucent, and slightly cloudy. Small persistent head, a bit more than a ring. Slight chocolate aroma and taste. Hop flavour is mild and slightly vegetal. Mouth feel is bang on, both smooth and slightly lively as well.
