3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 reebtogi (3262) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 5, 2013
1 liter bottle pours a pale amber color with is finger of white head that leaves a few spots of lacing as it settles. Aroma is mild grapefruit and caramel. Taste is a citrusy hop bitterness with an underlying caramel malty sweetness. The flavors are well balanced and body and carbonation are adequate for the style. This is a well done IPA, too bad it is retired so soon.

Nice citrusy hops nose. Some malts. Maybe a touch of grapefruit. Colour is orange with some white foam. Flavour is nice citrus some grapefruit rind. A touch almost cloying . Interesting idea.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 vadie (210) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 16, 2013
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lagerboy (666) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 5, 2013
Mostly clear medium copper, foamy off white head settles. Disapointing faint fruity citrus hop aroma. Fruity citrus hop taste, mild grapefruit bitterness, lightly malted. Crisp and fresh, ABV well hidden. Average carbonation, light-medium bodied, moderately hopped. Finishes dry. Nice enough, but I was expecting more. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 tiggmtl (4516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 26, 2013
Plenty of citrus hops are apparent in the nose along with a pleasant underlying malt sweetness. Clear copper coloured body is topped by a generous and lasting thick off-white head that costs the sides of the glass. Toasted and bread-like malts are offset by moderate bitterness with citrus and floral hop notes. Medium body with wonderful soft but full effervescence. Perhaps just a touch sweet bit quite enjoyable. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Hellsgate in February 2013.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 v1rgil (150) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 24, 2013
From bottle -pours copper amber hue with nice thin white head that retains. well carbonated but not overly so. Aroma is grapefruit and citrusy hops. First sip is slightly bitter with a bit of fruit astringency (grapefruit). Balanced well with caramel malt sweetness. No booziness present but alcohol content is higher than average. Overall this is a decently balanced beer, and I know from experience that grapefruit is a fickle fruit to brew with.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Eyrish (31) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 1, 2013
Big frothy healthy head, faint lace left overs. Rich copper colour, medium carbonation. Big citrus stanky freshness; pamplemousse rosy sweet. Crisp first sip, feels nice on the tongue. Obvious grapefruit overtones, fades to bitter. warm malt finish... meh.. really missing the hopperbomb I love. Still a lovely brew. Great 1 litre bottle too.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 LarryBeast (271) - - FEB 12, 2013
1L bottle. Pours a hazy amber-brown with foamy beige head. More malt-heavy than I was expecting -- bready, nutty caramel topped by orange/citrus notes. Lightly bitter-sweet. Chewy, smooth and barely carbonated. Soft finish for a dry-hopped IPA. A little too subtle; what I hoped for was a tangy hop bomb.
