Virtually no aroma, maybe dried leaves. Clear rust, thin head. Earthy, very subtle minty mulberry note. Dried leaves in the end. Not exciting.

BeerGolem (659) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 27, 2014
Sample on tap at Craft Beer Market (Vancouver). This beer has the colour of cognac. Slightly hazy. Beige head and some lacing. Aroma: mainly Cascade hop and malt. Strong bitterness. Resionous with some fruits. Lasting aftertaste. Creamy texture. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice beer. Surprised by its low rating.

Suttree (5013) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2014
Ruddy reddish brown, nice rocky beige head. Lots of malty notes in the aroma - caramel and toffee, some molasses. Very smooth. Rich and sweet flavors, like caramel and toffee. Not normally my thing, but I liked this quite a bit.

Fliptop 32 ounce bottle from Whole Foods, Charlottesville. Pours a hazy red with a bit of brown. Medium sized tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toffee malt, apple, dark fruits, toast, earthy hops. The taste is toffee malts, herbal, earthy hops and a bit of stone fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, slight lingering bitterness. Solid.

stantheman (613) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2014
On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A dark but relatively uninteresting imperial ale. Too much malt and too little hops for my taste. Easy drinking although.

Brown in color, clear with a thin head. Super sweet filled with too much malt was over the top strong syrup sweet beer. Not my flavor.

Lagerboy (1172) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 23, 2013
Murky orange brown, foamy tan head settles and fades. Floral citrus hop aroma. Strong burnt dark roasted malt taste, light floral citrus hoppiness, some earth and grapefruit. Softly carbed, medium -full bodied, moderately hopped. Ho-hum. DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)

Poured from 1L bottle. Medium mahogany red with dissipating off-white head. Slightly sweet malt and hopped nose. Nice full, but light mouth feel, slightly creamy. Slight roasted malt, light-medium hop taste.
