COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A high gravity India Pale Ale brewed with 100% barley, six varieties of hops, water and yeast. Extra barley malt nicely balances the huge volume of hops in this brew. Produced as part of the John Mitchell Series. Turn around bright eyes! 17 Plato.

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2008 in Victoria, September 7. Pours a sweet berry with pine hops base. Good malt base. Very enjoyable. 8/3/8/3/15

1 litre swingtop bottle poured a hazy orangey color with big white head and nice lacing. Aroma is primarily hops and a little alcohol. Taste is balanced nicely as there is plenty of malty sweetness to dull the huge amount of hops in this beer. There is not any overpowering bitterness in this beer and it is a pleasing beer to drink.

Sweet caramel malt base with berry-like fruity sweetness, plenty of citrus, pine and floral hops in the nose. Clear golden brown body is topped by a decent white head that recedes slowly to a low cover with some nice lacing. Nice thick chewy caramel.bread-like malt base supports strong but balanced hop bitterness. Floral hop flavours in the aftertaste. Medium body with pleasant effervescence. Really well done. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Nov-09.

1 L. swing-top. Mostly clear copper with a small layer of creamy bubbles. Nose is orange toffee, earthy tea leaf and whiffs of dry cocoa and wood. Tastes of sourish tangerine, toasted malt, cocoa, evergreen resin, and earthy dried leaf and wood. Medium body has a soft smooth carbonation and a big dry finish. An interesting and tasty IPA that pays a nice homage to the traditional English style while incorporating some new era hops as well.

Dark amber pour out of a huge weird bottle. Crazy hoppy and malty taste. Huge palate. This is a monster. Thought it would be higher ABV actually.

bottle. Amber with one finger head. Medium malt body with a bit of sweetness and slight booze. Substantial hops. Well balanced, hoppy but not a hop bomb.

Interesting and tasty beer. Hazy golden-orange hue. Hops have a real richness to them. Not overly aromatic, but they’re full of zingy flavors. Lots of grass, earthy herbs and citrus (zest/peel). Malt flavors have a delicate complexity. Bread crust and dark-grain crackers. Big alcohol is hidden well. Bitterness is on the mild side. Toffee-like sweetness is mild to moderate. Balanced overall.

Mediocre IPA. One of the mildest double IPAs I’ve had. Musty aroma, and slick mouthfeel.

12 July 2013, bottle. Orange. Nose is orange juice and some bitter orange rind. Med body and mildly fizzy. Mild orange juice, maybe a nutty malt. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
