COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A high gravity India Pale Ale brewed with 100% barley, six varieties of hops, water and yeast. Extra barley malt nicely balances the huge volume of hops in this brew. Produced as part of the John Mitchell Series. Turn around bright eyes! 17 Plato.

Pours a clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is sharp west coast hops with little identifiable malt. Taste is all hops with very little malt to report...leaves a puckering bitterness on the tongue but not one that is very complex. Itís average, not exceptional

A fairly decent DIPA. Hoppy aromas and flavors. Sweet and malty up front with a bitter finish. Nice.

Thanks to the Mrs for bring this over from the west. Not that she will ever read this. Nice amber colour with a frothy white head and lace clinging to the glass. Nice fruit gum, grapefruit hop aroma. Initial caramel, fruit flavour. Grapefruit bitterness. Very nice IPA, packed with hops. Very enjoyable.

8oz sample at the Taphouse Grill. Pours a reddish orange with an off-white head. Aroma has caramel, floral hops and something metallic. Taste is of sweet caramel, resin and some woodiness. Finishes sweet and not very smooth. The metallic nose is a bit off-putting. That is what I get having a bartender who looks like Russell Crowe talk me into a brew.

I found this beer quite enjoyable. The pour is a coppery orange with a finger of nice white-beige head. The aroma is fairly hop forward with floral and grass notes, citrus and pine. Fairly malty middle with a sweet caramel and resinous hops taste. The finish is resinous with an overbearing citrus dry hop. Not a bad IIPA, but not the best.

Notes: cloudy rusty amber with a reasonable pale head that leaves behind a slight lacing. Aroma is northwest hops, fresh cut grass, touch of pine and a hint of caramel, good overall floral note. Good body, reasonable balance between malt and hoppy bitterness - the hops are not an overwhelming sock in the mouth with pine and spruce, whilst still being noticeable and finishing with a crisp bitterness. Taste is quince, grapefruit, caramel, malt and pine. One of the best IIPAís I have tried.

Excellent look - big thick tan cap with great retention, Guinness-like lacing, deep orange / red with lots of suspended flecks. There are tons of sweet citrus, resin, ruby red grapefruit and cotton candy from hops and it comes across fairly fresh as well. Taste wise this is an absolute raping by hops. My taste buds are taking a well deserved "Williams Beat down"(old old skool youtube vid of a black chick beating the hell out of some dude real good). Man, just a shit load of hops - damn! Iím so down with this. The malts donít balance this at all and I could care less. Semi-sweet caramel holds out when warmer. There is some hop heat as well.. actually, lots of it. Resin, raisins, grapefruit. Thick middle, just a massive hop atomic bomb. Fín A! Permanent hop destruction. 1L of bitter medicine.

Draft sample at Barley Bros. Hazy orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of orange, white grapefruit, dried leaves, and caramel syrup. Dank C-hops and pine upfront followed by a pale and caramel malt base. Finishes with an odd heavy + leafy bitterness paired with a heavy sweet malt note that doesnít quite balance out.
