2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Looks like a nice pint, deep amber creamy of white crown floating on top. Aroma is hidden... pint might have poured to cold. Sweet fuzzy peach candy is about all I get out of the nose....... so very mild. Flavour has a large sweetness to it, peach but not, melon but not, not honey, almost bubble gum. Lively carbonation. Very well balanced..... almost to balanced I WANT MORE HOPS DAMMIT. Drinks like a APA not a IIPA. Dusty dry finish. Whats holding this beer back. Completly drinkable boring IIPA.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber colour, dissippating head. A citrus IPA, quite bitter, verging on the paint thinner ones but not quite... I didn’t realize it was a Double when I tried it, so now that makes sense. Surprisingly little finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 20, 2012 Eclipse of the Hop?!? Au contraire, this bad boy is nothing but hop... six varieties, no less. Zesty, herbal, grassy, piney, floral and citrusy, lots of overlapping sensations in this one... though if a Lagerboy such as I can put away a whole litre, it’s probally an IPA Light for all you hardcore hopheads, eh? UPDATED: FEB 5, 2014 Rerate - @coopwinespirits February discovery bag - I need you more than evahhh!
Rating #784 - Nov 26, 2013 - 1L swingtop from Coop.. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Citrusy sweet, mild floral hops on the nose.. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet orangey lemony notes with the spicy tang and hoppy bite lingers into the finish. I need you now tonight.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy dark orangish amber with a nice frothy off white head and lots of lace. Aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruit, citrus oranges and nice sweet malts in the background. Taste is a good balance of hops and malts, caramel, grapefruit, mango and a slick bitterness throughout not too much and borders harsh but not quite. Pleasant double ipa.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
8oz sample at the Taphouse Grill. Pours a reddish orange with an off-white head. Aroma has caramel, floral hops and something metallic. Taste is of sweet caramel, resin and some woodiness. Finishes sweet and not very smooth. The metallic nose is a bit off-putting. That is what I get having a bartender who looks like Russell Crowe talk me into a brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Colour: Fizzy peach-red, medium low head. Nose: Olive, hummus, roast chicken, tart hop, what an odd mix. Taste: Rich and vibrant lightly sugared hops burst onto the scene, candied figs follow, delicious malt, woody shrubs, and blistering bitter hops again to end the show. Medium finish. Just a touch over-carbonated but a damn good show.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Medium amber orange pour with a surging, thick off-white head, lots of lacing. Caramelly, sweet nose on this with some citrusy hoppy notes. Moderately sweet body with a sharp resinous finish cut into by a lot of booziness. Not a lot of the aromatics I associate with IPAs here, some earthy herbal qualities but mostly booze and one dimensional bitter. Not as good as other Howe Sound beers I’ve had, but at least I got a cool swing top bottle out of it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at Howe Sound. Hazy amber with a thin beige head. Very weak peach aroma. Surprisingly light taste, some booze, not much malt or citrus, high IBUs. Medium-full body. Very unexciting Imperial IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Notes: cloudy rusty amber with a reasonable pale head that leaves behind a slight lacing. Aroma is northwest hops, fresh cut grass, touch of pine and a hint of caramel, good overall floral note. Good body, reasonable balance between malt and hoppy bitterness - the hops are not an overwhelming sock in the mouth with pine and spruce, whilst still being noticeable and finishing with a crisp bitterness. Taste is quince, grapefruit, caramel, malt and pine. One of the best IIPA’s I have tried.
