COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A high gravity India Pale Ale brewed with 100% barley, six varieties of hops, water and yeast. Extra barley malt nicely balances the huge volume of hops in this brew. Produced as part of the John Mitchell Series. Turn around bright eyes! 17 Plato.

Deep amber pour with a finger of head that disappears fast. Piney aroma with lemon, orange zest, fairly light. Pine lemon and grapefruit rind up front, grassy, slight hint of oak, cracker, caramel. Medium body and slightly lower carb. Not a hop bomb but bitter enough with some other aspects to keep it interesting.

Pours a glowing hazy orange with a nice white head. The aroma is malty and hoppy. Citrus, caramel, honey, pine, grass, and herbs. The flavor is somewhat malt forward with a decent kick of hops. Caramel, grapefruit, orange peel, grass, pine, honey, spice, and a nice bitter finish. Not a bad IIPA, just a little too malty forward for me.

Bottle from Manuchamp. Kick ass bottle in general. Aroma very malt forward with a grassy and citrus bitterness. Pour caramel to amber with pillow of slight off white head. Taste very malt forward and tasty with a spine of floral/grassy/citrus hops, there is a good range of bitterness, caramel and toffee. MF medium body soft carb. Overall I don’t generally like to many Canadian IIPAs or malt forward IIPA but this was very well balanced and tasty.

Tasty IPA, but Double or Imperial?? Copper color with a fluffy off white head. Some apricot up front, transitioning quickly to some pine-y hop flavors. Very dry finish.

Oh tap at Rivers Reach beer club session. Very dark and turgid for an IPA. Big fruit, i.e. grapefruit and orange coming through on the palate. Nice balance of hops and malts. A winner!

Bottle. Pours copper/light orange. Sizable head, dissipates but remains. Aromas of grass, caramel, pine, resin and citrus hops. Taste is pretty bitter. Not overpowering like I was hoping it to be. Malty body, actually really well balanced. Another above average beer from this brewery.

Clear amber colour with medium beige head. Crisp bitter hop nose. Tart bitter citric hop taste with lingering bitter finish.

Draft sampled during HOPoxia 2012. Pours hazy gold with foamy white head. Blended floral-citrus aroma with some soggy cereal character. Good hop/malt balance. Bitter, but not overpoweringly so. Medium bodied. Abrupt finish. High alcohol content readily apparent.

Served in a 4oz taster at Barley Brothers in Winnipeg. Again, a decent IPA - but could use more body.
