A high gravity India Pale Ale brewed with 100% barley, six varieties of hops, water and yeast. Extra barley malt nicely balances the huge volume of hops in this brew. Produced as part of the John Mitchell Series. Turn around bright eyes! 17 Plato.

Best. Beer Name. Ever. Bottle. Pours hazy amber, medium, persistent pale tan head, spotty lacing. Nose is grassy, with citrus, hay, and a pronounced graphite/mineral/barnyard thing going on. Not "Bretty" or infected, but odd. Flavors of toasty crystal malt, grapefruit, orange rind, and mild pine, along with that earthy aspect again. Well balanced, but odd....

Aroma of citrus and a trace of caramel. Pours a caramel colour with a lasting well laced head. Mildly bitter taste with a lot of malt. Creamy feel with a bitter finish.

Poured from a bottle. Murky caramel color, medium off white head. Medium oil aroma. Medium body with a hop oil flavor and a mild finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an opaque dark brown, nearly black. Enormous dense surging creamy tan head, tons of suds, dense sheets of lace, just an absolutely gorgeous beer to look at. Nice rich mango and grapefruit nose, fruity and acidic both. Creamy medium body, almost thick, with lively carb. Toast, caramel, nuts, pine, and grapefruit on the mid-palate. Very pleasant, refreshing, and drinkable, if not a startling revelation. Nice crisp piney finish. Thoroughly well-executed DIPA

Very nice, very drinkable. What I like here is the slightly sweet malt. Provides a good counterbalance to the hops and the bitterness. Recommended!

Aroma is a rich hop profile with citrus, lemon grass and a nice earthiness. Taste is a light sweet crisp maltiness with a fairly dominant hop body which comprises of grapefruit and tanin which leaves light bitterness burn on finish. Pretty well balanced overall. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Tasted at Willow Park Beer Bash 2014. Unfortunately, there was no time for detailed notes - and I only made it through half my list even so!

Deep amber pour with a finger of head that disappears fast. Piney aroma with lemon, orange zest, fairly light. Pine lemon and grapefruit rind up front, grassy, slight hint of oak, cracker, caramel. Medium body and slightly lower carb. Not a hop bomb but bitter enough with some other aspects to keep it interesting.

Amber colour, dissippating head. A citrus IPA, quite bitter, verging on the paint thinner ones but not quite... I didn’t realize it was a Double when I tried it, so now that makes sense. Surprisingly little finish.
